I really was scared at the outcome but I’m quite impressed.

This is great. It’s the Front Page of every major newspaper from across the country. I love it!
A Politician for sale! Governor Rod Blagojevich caught red-handed trying to SALE the empty Senate seat that Obama leaves behind to the highest bidder. At least four unknown people took the bait! Little did he know the FBI was waiting in the wings and taping his conversations, which were enlightening, lude, and telling. The conversations revealed that Blagojevich was no stranger to four letter expletives when not getting what he wanted. All caught on tape and reported. Blagojevich was arrested BEFORE he could choose the Senate seat. A day before the governor promised that he would use discretion in choosing the seat. He is now out on 4500 bail.
The bigger question: Was Obama involved?
Illinois can puff their shoulders out with pride and say…Obama was NOT for sale!! and was in no way involved! Although he was approached, he declined the request with his thanks and appreciation. To that the governor replied, “F* that motherf*”. Unfortunately, Illinois can not gloat over Obama’s good judgment, with the cloud of shame that Governor Blagojevich leaves over the state. The Governor was involved in multiple other accusations and due to his shenanigans; Illinois will have a permanent stain as having one of the most crooked scandals in our nations history. I am from Illinois.
Will wonders never cease. We were in Presidential heaven NOW this. This is worse than trying to take Obama down with a birth certificate. I say give him the chair for abusing his office. I could care less about the 4 letter words we are all guilty of that at some point and time. I’m just tellin’ it like it T-I-Tiz!!!
What do you think about the whole thing?
They just will not let this man have an uneventful fall into grace!!
Let it go people. His birth certificate is from Hawaii AND valid. Hillary probably already turned over that card!! Wouldn’t you think? She’s a Clinton after all.
I didn’t write the following:
“Obama Waffles,” the brainchild of two Franklin, Tennessee writers, Mark Whitlock and Bob DeMoss, made its debut last week at the Values Voter Summit, a conservative political forum. Filled with real waffle mix, Obama Waffles sell for an inflated $10. Buyers are greeted with a Sambo-like illustration of Obama sporting a rosy, glossy full- lipped, wide-toothed grin with the slogan “Change you can taste” and “Waffling the world over.” But the racial insensitivity and political incorrectness doesn’t stop there. Another image of the Democratic presidential nominee’s image sits atop the box, wearing an Arab-like headdress with the message: “Point box toward Mecca for tastier waffles.” On the back of the box, a sombrero-clad Obama references a recipe for “Open Boarder Fiesta Waffles,” which offers tips on learning a foreign language in the time it takes to be served these “zesty treats to invade your homes.”
The duo claim their product is simply political satire but summit organizers cut off sales of the Obama Waffles boxes. In the aftermath of a hailstorm of criticism from activists, voters and Black organizations, the Summit organizers admitted they had not closely examined the boxes and understand how the depictions could be interpreted as offensive.
Whitlock doesn’t see anything wrong with their packaging. When interviewed by the Associated Press, he said, “You think of Newsman’s Own or Emeril’s—there are tons and tons of personality-brand food products on the market. So we’ve taken that model and used political satire, highlighting [Obama’s] policies and position changes.”
The box also pokes fun at former Democratic nominee John Kerry, Michelle Obama and former Obama pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright, whose caricature is posted under a missing person’s sign.
If I remember correctly Obama was in Kenya. The outfits they were had nothing to do with muslims. Kenya is 78% Christian due to colonization. What’s up with the rap on the side of the box? …and you’re telling me they didn’t think about it.
I purposely left off the link to their site. I do find it offensive.
They said they didn’t even think about it! Please!!! I’m just tellin’ it like it T-I-Tiz!!!
I don’t care what anybody says. This is a stunt! Where the hell was she on the short list and the last year?
Let me just address each topic one by one:
Qualifications: While Obama & Palin may be neck and neck when it comes to foriegn policy (with Obama slightly ahead), there is something to be said about this fact. Palin is even less qualified than Obama. Isn’t this a little hypocritical on the part of the Republicans?
Getting To Know: The public has had over a year to pick apart Obama. We won’t even get 3 months to pick apart Palin and get to know her? Give me a break! People have more time to choose their cars!!! Again, wasn’t this a concern Republicans touted about Obama?
McCain’s Age: In the event that McCain kills over (the average life span in the U.S. for males 74.5), this is a possibility although he’s married and has access to the best doctors, it’s a valid concern. In this event…she’s our next President. If we want a woman President. I think America wants to choose their own female President and not have someone by default or irregular nepotism become the head of our country!
Gimmick: Be honest, there’s an appeal in having a female, she’s easy on the eyes, she’s somewhat of a maverick from what I understand, she’s someone no one has picked apart until the announcement, she’s got a good , track record, she’s young (the opposite of McCain). Why not attract soccer mom Republicans, guys who are easily wooed, those who like to get behind the underdog, those who like a good cause, and those who think she might just be a regular gal?
Ticket Pick: It is customary to fill in the gaps with your VP. But, this may be extreme. See GIMMICK.
The Scandal: Pressuring officials to fire her sister’s ex-husband (State Trooper Wooten) — an abuse of power in a deserved case as it would seem. Hell I woulda’ done the same and so would a lot of average Americans (at least that’s how they are going to side with her). Her 17-year old daughter is with child. She’s just like any other fearful mother who has experienced a nightmare. Raising a family is hard and she’s stuck by her daughter regardless. People are going to relate to that.
Thought: If you can’t watch your own daughter and govern a state how are you going to watch her and govern an entire country. As far as I’m concerned, that’s negligent parenting (although I don’t think the young lady deserves to be splattered all over the media. How is that for parenting? Palin had to know what she’d be putting her daughter through. Wait it might just be “IN” to be a teen parent who knows).
Finally, just because we like someone does NOT mean that they are good for the country. Hell, on first take I like the woman…but I need more than that.
Don’t get mad at me…I’m just telling it like it T-I-Tiz!!
I think Joe Biden fills the gap that America felt like Obama had. He’s a seasoned vet with a 30 year record and talks straight.
Although Obama/Biden critics will say that Biden’s mouth sometimes can’t be controlled and earlier statements about Obama reflect poorly. I say…America likes straight talk and the fact that Biden was swayed in Obama’s direction is a testament to how Obama avoids divisiveness and has the country at heart…not himself. Critics referring to change should realize, change can’t happen without cooperation from both sides of the fence!
Hillary would’ve been O.K. but, I think when discussing foriegn politics Obiden is the person to go to.
Hillary is whining that Obama didn’t consult her. Why? So that later she can say it was she who helped Obama makes his choice. This sense of entitlement from the Clintons is really unbecoming. They are sore losers and use to being in the spotlight and when all eyes are no longer on them…they sulk. We appreciate both of them for what they have given to this country. Time to step back.
I’m just tellin’ it like it T-I-Tiz!!!
What do you think? Yesterday, Obama announces Joe Biden as his running mate. Good move or mistake? Do you think Obama will win?
